- We ride up the little funiculaire to Rose's front door. Maggie thinks this is the best thing ever.
- Becca arrives home from school. I make her a Milo, and she helps herself to a large bowl of cereal.
- Maggie obligingly falls asleep at 2, and stays asleep for an hour after Becca's return, so we get some quiet time to ourselves to sit on the sofa and read.
- During feeding time at the zoo, I put on Kind of Blue. 'So What' is chest-achingly wonderful.
- Maggie: I go and see Rose. I ride on cable car. I push button. Jack:Well, I had a good day... Maggie: You play with Dads.
