- Home-made pesto from the bushy plants on our windowsill - so easy to make in the food processer. A dollop each on spaghetti, and dinner is done.
- By the bus station, a woman and a handsome golden retriever are collecting for the Red Puppy appeal. The dog's clearly very excited by the bustle of commuters and is barking at everyone who passes. Shush, she says, bending down to him, shush!
- A stroll around Thorndon in the late afternoon sun clears my mind between work and commute.
